RNAO Best Practice Guideline: Collaborative Practice Among Nursing Teams

This Best Practice Guideline (BPG) Module is part of the Best Practices Series of the Ontario Nursing Connection. The module is based on one of the Healthy Work Environments BPGs developed by the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO). The BPG on Collaborative Practice Among Nursing Teams was developed to serve as a resource for nurses in all domains of practice, other health professionals, and senior management teams to enhance positive outcomes for patients/clients, nurses, and the organization.

• Best practices that effectively address collaborative practice/teamwork; and
• The organizational culture, values, relationships and the structures and processes required for developing and sustaining effective nursing teamwork.
