Hospice Palliative Care Nursing

Palliative care nurses specialize in care for individuals who are terminally ill. They work to meet the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of their clients in a variety of settings and provide end of life care that aims to relieve suffering and improve the quality of living and dying. Palliative care nurses strive to maintain a high comfort level for the client through therapeutic interventions and medication control. They also provide support and resources to clients and their families.

Nadia G - Palliative Hospice Care Nurse

“My greatest area of nursing interest lies with patients who are in need of palliative care. I work as a community health/visiting nurse, taking care of clients who are often living alone. I believe that the caring approach I bring to my nursing practice is a central part of this role.”
